Obscure valleys
Uninhabited caverns
Storms not yet won
and the perception
that everything is in Your control
Nothing escapes Your eyes of fire
and there is nothing within Your reach
that won’t be, within Your timing, consumed
by the fire within Your eyes
and so I see me in this moment
where I struggle with myself
as I see myself leave
from the gates of protection
one step forward
three steps back

I fight to stay in the same place
But the thorns in my nest pierce me
the hour for this eagle to launch has come

Be accountable for the consequences of her choices
